We are daily enjoying fresh zucchini, chard, green beans, lettuce and kale. The peas are coming now and we have picked a few carrots.
We made the mistake of planting white turnips too late in the season and the turnips never developed. Not wanting to waste, we chopped up all the greens, mixing them with parmesan cheese, herbs and egg. Then baked little yummy crispy balls.

After we pulled out the turnips we replaced them with eggplants.

As you can see, the growth and change is spectacular. As always, we probably planted everything a bit to close together. When the plants are so tiny, it is hard to imagine how big they will get. We want to get as much in the garden as possible, even though we know better……

Soon the marionberries will be ripe.
Snap peas – eaten fresh off the vines.
