Lucca – Italy

Met up with friends from Santa Cruz for a glass of wine

We went for a bike ride in search of the local coffee roaster. Unfortunately, we were disappointed to find a factory behind locked gates. Unlike at home the roaster is not open to the pubic and does not serve coffee. They offered to sell us a kilo bag of coffee beans. (basically 2.2lb). We then would have had to find a grinder. We graciously declined.

This picture reminded me of my grand kids climbing the man-made rock formations in our local Santa Cruz parks. Kids here have been climbing this rock structure on the top of the city wall for centuries!

Spring time is so beautiful with the trees green and flowers in bloom. We generally come during the fall when the landscape is more dormant. We are enjoying living in Italy.
