We hiked Cougar Mountain, an expansive forested park inside the city of Bellevue. There is a reason it is called cougar mountain, yes there are warning signs regarding bear and cougar. Gratefully we saw neither.

I am fortunate to have a handy husband who can fix things easily. The plug to our car cooler seems to have died. We keep snacks and lunch in a cooler between the seats and it was not working. We stop at a hardware store and Gary buys a new car plug. He quickly replaced it and the cooler hummed back on. Awesome. Shortly down the road we stopped for lunch. I reached my hand in the “cooler” and it is HOT! I had forgotten it is a dual cooler/warmer system. The switch was on cool, but Gary wired it backwards when he replaced the plug. Luckily, we didn’t have our expensive smoked salmon in there.
Family

Next, we visit my sister and RC in Renton. Again, we have an unusually warm sunny afternoon and were able to sit together out in their front yard. It was great to see Cindy. With the pandemic she has not been able to come down to Santa Cruz to visit in some time.

A nights’ stay along the Columbia river, back into Oregon, and a stop in Portland at our favorite deli, Kenny and Zukes, for the best Pastrami sandwich. Even sharing it was a bit much.
More family to come……..
It is great to have friends and family to visit on our travels.
