The Carson Mansion is considered the grandest of Victorian, Queen Anne, style homes in American. A local informed us that when the lumber industry began to dwindle, the lumber mill tycoon had the employees of the mill build him an elaborate home to keep them employed. Not sure if this is truly factual. The same source claimed this cute pink house was commission also by Carson for his as a wedding present to his son.

We stayed a couple of nights at Johnny’s Marina. We were fortunate to be allowed access to Johnny’s internet and spent some time catching up on work. We had a private little deck overlooking the marina. We were able to empty and resupply, including doing laundry while here.
We met a lovely couple who told us about Harvest Hosts a “club” for members for places to stay overnight that includes wineries and golf courses. Mostly for the “big guys” (huge RV”s) but we are fully self-contained so we will check it out. We love to add options to our lists of places to be able to stay.

We hiked the bay and watched an amazing sunset.
Where to next? Continuing north, to yet undiscovered locations!
